Weekend Glam

This is my gorgeous friend Megan, and would you believe - she is even more lovely on the inside! She is honestly one of the sweetest people I know and so deserving of a little pamper session, so that's just what we did :)
We decided to give her a glamorous evening look for a Saturday night out.  I went for warm, rich plum/pink tones for her smokey shadow to bring out the green in her eyes and a flawless airbrushed complexion.

Complexion
For her (perfect) porcelain skin we used MAC Strobe Liquid Lotion (similar) to moisturize and add a dewy glow followed by Garnier 5 Second Blur Instant Smoother Primer (one of my current fav's).
Foundation: Airbrush
Concealer: MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Setting Powder: Neutrogena Shine Control *Holy Grail fav*
Contour & Highlight: Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
Blush: MAC Gingerly
Highlight (cheekbones/cupids bow): MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle
Lips: Rimmel Lip Liner in 'Natural'/NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Antwerp' topped with Seventeen Gloss (no name from a set - nude/pink shimmery)

Eyes
Base: MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly
Shadow: 'Dusty Plum' all over lid and into crease, 'Cream' under brow bone, 'Khaki
' throughout crease and 'Black' smudged along liner and outer most corner. (All from the Lorac Mega Pro Palette which was limited edition unfortunately but some are still available on Ebay and similar shades can be found in Urban Decay's Naked3 Palette)  I also used 'Virgin' as inner corner highlight, with 'Smog' and 'Dark Horse' from the Urban Decay Naked Palette smudged under the lower lash line and upper crease.
We topped her lid with a little of Bare Mineral's Loose Eyeshadow in 'Nude Beach' to catch the light on the center of her eye.
Brows: Light Brown matte shadow
Eyeliner: L'oreal Paris Infallible Gel Liner in Black (top) *HOLY GRAIL FOREVER FAV* with the Voluminous Smoldering Kohl Pencil on upper and lower water lines.
Lashes: Salon Perfect Glamorous Demi Wispies

(ps. I LOVE finding great quality lashes for affordable prices - check out Walmart!!)

To complete Megan's look and finish everything off, I added a spritz of L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray to lock her look in all night :)

NPC Bikini Beach Day

This post is almost a year over due! I will admit, I put my blog on the back burner.  I got so busy with just living life that I forgot to write about it!

Sooo... time for a quick catch up:
I've decided 2015 will be my year of exploring my makeup talents and pushing myself with freelance.  Makeup artistry is my passion so why not try and turn it into more than just a hobby!

My first real 'clients' were these lovely ladies who asked me to doll them up for their NPC Bikini Competition in Lincoln City this past May, 2014. I was so excited (and nervous)!! It was a beautiful day, and I had a lot of fun playing with makeup and helping these gorgeous, sweet girls feel confident for their big show.

Meet Erienne and Maggi (and their crazy dark competition regulation spray tans!)  Holy cow, they were so brown and their smiles were SO white, haha! They both asked for 'neutral glam' so we went for smokey eyes and bronzed glowing skin.  Everything needed to be a little 'extra' and far more heavy than normal since their makeup needed to be visible from far away for the judges, so it was an experience for all of us!  I layered products with the aim of making them both look as photo-shopped as possible :)

Things were more than a little rushed and hectic as the girls were getting things prepared but we managed to pull together some pretty looks (and actually remember to take the 'after' pictures).  I will add a list of products I used soon!

The girls did great! I was so honored they asked me to help them on their special day.
